Privacy Policy
InnerTen is a performance journal for competitive shooting athletes. Your journal is personal, so this policy explains in plain language what we collect, why, who helps us run the app, and how you stay in control.
The short version
- We collect what you put into InnerTen, plus the minimum needed to run your account.
- We don't show ads, don't sell your data, and don't track you across other apps or websites.
- AI features send the relevant parts of your journal to our AI providers. They process it for us and don't use it to train their models.
- You can delete your account and all your data from inside the app at any time.
1. Who we are
InnerTen is operated by Niraj Laxmandas Mulani, a sole proprietorship based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India ("InnerTen", "we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us at support@innerten.app.
2. What we collect
Account information
- Your email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash; we can never see them.
- If you use Sign in with Apple: the identifier Apple gives us, and the name and email you choose to share. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real email.
Profile
- Your name, shooting discipline(s), the goal you enter during setup, and an optional profile photo.
Your journal and training content
- Pre-session and post-session entries: intentions, reflections, feel words, influences, conditions, locations, scores, series scores, SCATT metrics and notes.
- Self-reported state, such as energy, physical tension, sleep quality and mood. Because this can describe your physical and mental wellbeing, we treat it as sensitive and use it only to provide the app to you.
- Voice recordings you make for voice entries, and their text transcripts.
- Photos you attach to entries, Shooter Corner notes or your profile.
- Shooter Corner content: training plans, affirmations, routines, visualizations, equipment and trigger settings, goals and your competition calendar.
- Training activity: sessions, drill results and program progress.
- AI Coach conversations, AI-generated summaries, tags, goals and weekly reports.
Subscription information
- Whether you have a premium subscription, its expiry date, and subscription events (purchase, renewal, cancellation). Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We never receive your card or bank details.
Technical and usage information
- Records of AI feature use (feature type, time, size of the request and its estimated cost), used to run fair-use limits and control costs.
- Standard server logs kept by our infrastructure providers, which can include your IP address and device type.
What we don't collect
- No advertising identifiers, no analytics or ad-tracking tools, no location data, no contacts.
- Session reminders are scheduled on your device. No push-notification token is sent to us.
3. How we use it
- To provide the app: storing and syncing your journal, training and Shooter Corner content, and showing it back to you.
- To power AI features you use: turning voice recordings into structured entries, answering your AI Coach questions using your own data, and generating summaries, tags, goals and weekly reports.
- To manage your subscription and unlock premium features.
- To keep the service safe and affordable: preventing abuse, enforcing usage limits and fixing problems.
- To contact you about your account, for example password-reset codes and replies to support requests. We don't send marketing email.
Legal bases (where GDPR or similar laws apply): performing our contract with you (running the app and your subscription); your consent (sensitive wellbeing information you choose to record, and microphone, camera and photo access, which you can withdraw in your device settings); and our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention and cost control).
4. AI processing
When you use an AI feature, our server sends the information that feature needs to an AI provider and returns the result to you:
- Voice entries: your recording is sent to OpenAI for transcription, and the transcript is sent to Anthropic to map it into entry fields.
- AI Coach and insights: your message, plus relevant context from your profile, recent journal entries, Shooter Corner and training history, is sent to Anthropic.
Both providers process this data on our behalf under their API terms. Under those terms they don't use it to train their models, and they keep it only for a limited time (currently up to 30 days) for safety and abuse monitoring. AI output can be wrong. Treat it as reflection support, not as professional advice.
5. Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run InnerTen, and only what each one needs:
| Provider | What it does for us | Data involved |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, file storage, sign-in and server functions | All app data described above |
| Anthropic | AI Coach, voice-entry structuring, summaries and reports | Text you send and the journal context described in section 4 |
| OpenAI | Voice transcription | Voice recordings |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | Your InnerTen account ID, purchase history, device type |
| Apple / Google | App distribution, payments, Sign in with Apple | Governed by your agreement with them |
| Resend | Sending account emails (e.g. password-reset codes) | Your email address and the email content |
We don't sell or rent your personal data, and we don't share it for advertising. We may disclose data if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of InnerTen, in which case this policy continues to apply.
6. Where your data is stored
Your InnerTen data is stored with Supabase in India (Mumbai region). Our AI and subscription providers are based in the United States. When data moves between countries, we rely on our providers' contractual safeguards, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where they are required.
7. How long we keep it
- We keep your data while your account exists, so your journal stays available to you.
- When you delete an entry, its voice recording and photos are deleted with it.
- When you delete your account, we delete your account and all associated data from our systems straight away: entries, recordings, photos, Shooter Corner content, training history, AI conversations and usage records.
- Copies held by AI providers expire under their retention periods (section 4). Apple, Google and RevenueCat keep purchase records as their own policies and the law require.
8. Your rights and choices
- Access and correction: view and edit your content in the app at any time.
- Deletion: Profile → Account → Delete Account permanently deletes your account and data. You can also email us (see how to delete your account).
- Export: premium members can export journal entries as a PDF in the app. Anyone can ask us by email for a copy of all their data, free of charge.
- Withdraw permissions: turn off microphone, camera, photo or notification access in your device settings at any time.
- Object, restrict or port: depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or restrict processing, or receive your data in a portable format. Email us and we'll respond within 30 days.
- Complain: you can complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents: we don't sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we don't use sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the app.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each athlete's data is isolated by access rules at the database and storage level, so one account can't read another's. Voice recordings and photos are kept in private storage. (Profile photos use a public link so the app can display them quickly. Anyone with the exact link could view your profile photo, but the photos can't be listed or searched.) No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we'll notify you as the law requires.
10. Children
InnerTen is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you are under the age at which you can consent to data processing in your country (for example, 16 in some EU countries), use InnerTen only with a parent's or guardian's permission. If you believe a child under 13 has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We'll post any changes on this page and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we'll also tell you in the app before it takes effect.
